Last Thursday we headed to the darc awards ceremony. Caught up with some familiar faces, had a few drinks, celebrated good work across the industry, and somehow came home with 3rd place in the Places Low Budget category for Eatzen Malahide.

Honestly, projects like this are always special to us. Not because they’re the biggest or the most extravagant, but because they’re the ones where every design decision matters. Eatzen was a small project, but there was a lot of care behind it from everyone involved and all this effort is now being widely recognised across all boards, from IDI Awards through LIT Awards to now the Darc Awards and this is not the end of it.

But the biggest success of all is the restaurant itself – it`s absolutely buzzing.

It was lovely seeing the project recognised by other lighting designers and industry peers, especially in a room full of work we genuinely admire ourselves.

A few photos from the evening below — slightly less polished than the official event photography, but probably a better reflection of the night.

Huge thanks to everybody involved in the project and to the darc awards team for organising another great evening.
