Eatzen Restaurant and Bask Spa recognised in international lighting design awards
Antumbra Lighting Design is delighted to announce that two of our recent projects have been shortlisted for the darc awards 2026, one of the most respected international awards in lighting design.
Our projects Eatzen Restaurant and Bask Spa at The Davenport Hotel have both been recognised by the [d]arc awards jury, highlighting Antumbra’s approach to creating thoughtful and atmospheric lighting for hospitality environments.
Eatzen Restaurant – Spaces Low Budget

Our Irish star project Eatzen Restaurant, winner of the LIT Lighting Design Awards 2025 in Bar and Restaurant Lighting Design category, has now also been shortlisted for the darc awards 2026 in Places – Low Budget category.
Located in Malahide, Eatzen is a project particularly close to our hearts. The lighting design was developed to support the restaurant’s warm and layered interior, enhancing the architecture while creating an intimate and welcoming atmosphere for guests.
The scheme balances contrast, texture and rhythm, allowing the space to feel both refined and relaxed — demonstrating how carefully integrated architectural lighting can shape the dining experience.
Bask Spa – The Davenport Hotel – Spaces High Budget in darc awards 2026

We’re equally delighted that Bask Spa at The Davenport Hotel has also been shortlisted for the darc awards 2026 in Places – High Budget category.
Designed as a calm and immersive environment, the lighting scheme for Bask Spa focuses on atmosphere, softness and sensory experience. Rather than dominating the space, light quietly supports the architecture — guiding visitors through the spa while highlighting textures and carefully chosen materials.
Layered illumination and gentle contrasts help create a tranquil environment where guests can fully relax, demonstrating how thoughtful lighting can shape both mood and spatial experience.
Being shortlisted for the [d]arc awards with both Eatzen Restaurant and Bask Spa is a wonderful recognition of the thoughtful collaboration behind these projects. For us, lighting design is never just about illumination — it is about shaping atmosphere, supporting architecture, and creating spaces people genuinely enjoy being in. We’re proud to see these projects recognised internationally and grateful to the teams and clients who trusted us to bring their spaces to life through light.
